Since 1992, we have been focused on prioritizing patient convenience through open guidance and communication, a modern yet traditional office space, extended hours, and an overall personalized and positive experience. When our patients walk in, they feel at home in our large yet cozy office where each member of our team treats them like family. At Commerce Village Dentists, we are dedicated to making sure our patients feel heard, understood, comforted, and empowered while providing the highest quality dental care. Meet the Dentist

Dr. Huy Nguyen

Dr. Nguyen knew he wanted to pursue dentistry from a young age. He grew up in Vietnam experiencing the hardship of wartime and a father who was taken prisoner as a military officer after The Fall of Saigon. In 1990, he and his family immigrated to the United States where he realized his dream of becoming a dentist was not only possible, but well within reach with hard work, passion, and dedication. Dr. Nguyen received his DDS in 2002 from the Meharry Medical College School of Dentistry in Nashville, TN. After graduating from dental school, he served in the Air Force in Minot, ND. This life-shaping experience has increased his passion for serving others.

As owner and general dentist of Commerce Village Dentists with nearly 20 years of experience, Dr. Nguyen has loved serving his community. Not only by improving his patient's oral health and confidence but by making them feel at home and comfortable during their appointments. When he’s not in the office, Dr. Nguyen enjoys spending time with his wife and children, as well as watching sports, he is an avid football watcher!

Meet the Dentist

Dr. Dipinjit Grewal

Dr. Dipinjit Grewal began his career graduating with a Bachelors of Dental Surgery in India. He then furthered his education and went on to do his masters. Dr. Grewal then moved to the United States and obtained his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from Boston University, where he graduated in the top of his class with high honors. Dr. Grewal has been practicing in Michigan for over 17 years.

Dr. Grewal strives to keep up with the cutting edge of dentistry through continuing education. Besides providing general services, Dr. Grewal has special training in oral surgery, implant dentistry, invisalign, and esthetic dentistry. He is also currently working on certification for I.V. Sedation dentistry.

When he is not practicing dentistry, Dr. Grewal enjoys traveling and learning about other cultures and cuisines. He has been to over 20 countries and counting. He enjoys wildlife, photography, hiking, and has a special interest in philanthropy.

Dr. Mark Isler

Dr. Mark Isler graduated from the University of Detroit School of Dentistry in 2005. Participating in the accelerated six year inteflex program he received a Bachelor's of Science and Doctor of Dental Surgery degree. After practicing in Dearborn, Michigan he returned to the University of Detroit School of Dentistry where he entered their Graduate Periodontal Residency program. Upon completion he achieved his Master's of Science degree in Periodontics and became board certified by the State of Michigan. Dr. Isler has been published in the “Practical Procedures in Aesthetic Dentistry” peer-reviewed journal for his clinical work. In addition he has completed training and certification in advanced anesthesia and conscious sedation.

Dr. Isler makes educating his patients a top priority. By sharing his knowledge and expertise his patients are better able to choose the treatment that’s best for them. Dr. Isler’s patients enjoy his gentle touch, and treatment in a comfortable and relaxed environment.

Dr. Nelson (Nick) Hersh

Dr. Nelson (Nick) Hersh is a passionate orthodontist who has dedicated his career to creating healthy, beautiful smiles. With a deep-rooted belief in treating each patient as family, Dr. Hersh approaches his work with gentleness, kindness, professionalism, and compassion. His goal is to make a lasting difference in the world by transforming smiles and building confidence and self-esteem in his patients. Dr. Hersh takes pride in celebrating the unique qualities of each individual he treats, recognizing that every person is special and deserving of personalized care.Dr. Hersh's commitment to excellence is evident in his extensive educational background and ongoing professional development.

He earned his Doctorate of Dental Surgery from the University of Michigan and his Master of Science in Orthodontics from St. Louis University. As a clinical instructor at the University of Detroit Mercy Dental School Department of Orthodontics and a delegate of the Great Lakes Orthodontic Association, Dr. Hersh shares his expertise with the next generation of orthodontists. His dedication to staying at the forefront of orthodontic innovations is reflected in his completion of more than double the required amount of continuing education each year.

Beyond his professional achievements, Dr. Hersh is a devoted family man, an active community member serving on the school board, and a passionate animal advocate who volunteers at the Oakland County animal shelter. His commitment to making a difference extends globally, as he participates in annual missions to Eastern Europe to teach English.

Dr. Khaled Sinjab

After receiving his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in 2010, Dr. Khaled Sinjab completed a 1-year fellowship in periodontics at the University of Michigan, followed by another year of research and then completed the 3-year residency program where he received his master’s degree in Periodontics and achieved diplomate status with the American Board of Periodontology. He is the proud recipient of the Delta Dental Award, Rackham Block Grant Award, and the Implant Dentistry Research and Education Foundation Grant Award. He has published twenty articles focusing on dental implant diseases and their management, and his thesis project involved analyzing the bacteria found around dental implants. Dr. Sinjab is a part-time Adjunct Clinical Lecturer at the University of Michigan Graduate Periodontics Department and practices periodontics at several dental and periodontal offices. He is also an active member of several study clubs and a proud affiliate with the Michigan Periodontal Association, American Academy of Periodontology, American Dental Association, Michigan Dental Association, the Russell W Bunting Periodontal study club, the Motor City study club, and the Midwest Society of Periodontology.

Dr. Adel Al Maaz

Dr. Al Maaz is a dedicated Prosthodontist whose professional journey has been guided by a deep belief in personal growth through purposeful achievement. Inspired early by the words of Henry David Thoreau—“What you get by achieving your goals is not as important as what you become by achieving your goals”—Dr. Al Maaz has consistently pursued excellence not just in clinical outcomes, but in character and contribution. With gratitude for the role of family, mentors, and faith, they continue to push beyond comfort zones, living out the philosophy that there are always "miles to go before we sleep."

Currently, Dr. Al Maaz practices at Commerce Village Dentists in Michigan and serves as a Clinical Instructor in Prosthodontics at the University of Detroit Mercy. Their professional experience spans internationally, including roles in leading hospitals in Saudi Arabia and part-time practice in Michigan. With advanced training from Marquette University and a diploma in implant dentistry from Riyadh Elm University, Dr. Al Maaz is well-versed in complex fixed, removable, and implant prosthodontics. Their clinical acumen is matched by their commitment to education and mentorship.

Beyond clinical practice, Dr. Al Maaz is an accomplished researcher and speaker. Their work has been recognized with multiple awards, including the prestigious Tylman Award for research in digital prosthodontics. They have presented internationally and contributed to peer-reviewed journals and book chapters on cutting-edge implant techniques. Deeply involved in community outreach and dental education, Dr. Al Maaz believes that true success lies in impacting lives—whether through restoring smiles or inspiring future dental professionals.
